The Quarantine Diary, inspired by my observations and experiences in China after my return from the United States, presents the "new normal" of people's lives at this time. As an artist, I make sure to draw on every day when I create artworks embedded in our life and times. I used a personal perspective to record everyday life in a world of Pandemic. By focusing and observing little by little the small changes that happened in daily life, and with the dates as my clue, I can see how society as a whole is changing and evolving during the year 2020. The dates stopped at 2020, as well as someone I love, but time always continues going forward and this cycle of life formed humanity. The seemingly random time clue in the video is actually an attempt to represent this special period for every ordinary people.
